Beyond the Silence~ Book Review

I have been a Tracie Peterson fan for years & jumped at the chance to be able to read her collaboration with Kimberly Woodhouse on "Beyond the Silence." I really enjoyed this adventure with Lillian as she made her way out West to finally live out from under the strict rules of her wealthy grandfather, who had become a bitter man with the death of his dear wife. And then the complexity of the life that Woody was living in a town where most people believed that he murdered his wife, which left his little son silent. I'm not saying that I am a fan of violence, but I'm glad these authors didn't sugarcoat the brutality that was at the hands of Darwin Longstreet. It made the story more real. And for that I am grateful. A lot of Christian authors, tend to never really want to delve into that part of the story. They just want you to know it happened, but not how. And then there is sweet Harry. Oh sweet Harry. I love how the book ended with him especially. It was a great read & I would certainly recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy from Bethany House for my honest review.
