20/100 I love the fact that the Word Of God is living & active. That certain passages in the scriptures morphs into what I need, when I need it. The words impact me in different ways according to the season that I am or for that moment. It’s a guide book that is directing me, giving me comfort, filling me with excitement, challenging me & putting me in my place.
As much as I love history. I know just how blessed that I am to be here, in this time & in this country. I think about all of the 100’s of years that the Word was not so available. You had to be a “man of the cloth” to be able to study the scripture. Most women weren’t even able to be near the it. The man of the house got to study it & then bring it home to her. How sad! I can’t imagine living life without the freedom of going to my stacks of Bibles & opening up the world of His wonders. We are a spoiled culture. The Word Of God that has been fought for is literally at our fingertips (on our phones) but yet we find our lives too busy to delve in. People are still dying around the world to have a page of scripture in their possession. Can you let your mind go there? Treasuring one page of God’s Word so desperately that you are willing to die over it?

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
