Hope for the Same-Sex Attracted ~ Book Review

"Hope for the Same-Sex Attracted" by Ron Citlau was an interesting book. I don't typically read these sort of books, but having quite a few friends who deal with SSA (same-sew attraction) or are embracing the homosexual lifestyle, after being shunned by the church....I wanted to have more info. People who struggle with SSA are a segment of people that the church usually ignore. So they live isolated, feeling unwanted...The church doesn't speak life into them. There are some of us wanting to be the life line, but in this day & age of new found acceptance it's difficult to know exactly how to go about it all. One quote from the book that stuck out me was this..."Meanwhile, the rest of us struggle to explain why following Jesus is better for a same-sex attracted person than a lifelong, love-filled, committed same-sex relationship." And one more "I think it is up to the church to show the ways they can find relational fulfillment in Jesus & His church. Until we do this, the good news will not be very good to the same-sex struggler."
The book is perfect for anyone seeking Biblical direction on this subject, whether they are the one that is struggling, have a loved one that is, a pastor or just someone who wants to have better knowledge on people who do need His love.

I received this book from Bethany House for my honest review.
