James 5:14-15
When I got to church yesterday, D who was already there running sound for the 1st service & immediately said to me, "You better get your notetaking ready, because this message is amazing!" So I already anticipated something good. But I was not prepared for what Pastor Jay West was about to talk about. The new sermon series is titled "Overcomer." There is no doubt that it was Spirit led & timely. One quote that seemed to stick out to most was "It's OK, to not be OK. But it's not OK to stay that way." He was vulnerable & real with us. Which is rare to find from someone standing behind a pulpit. He focused on mental illness & those that deal with worry, discouragement, anxiety, depression & suicidal thoughts. Things that are so often looked over in the church. They are just swept under the rug, hidden from view, when the majority of the congregation is dealing with these issues. If you are one of those that do, take a listen. If you don't have those issues plaguing your mind, listen anyway so that you can have a better understanding of those who do. You won't regret it!

You can hear the podcast "Overcomer-1" for yourself, that inspired my page. https://www.facebook.com/kingwoodchurch
