24 years ago today, at the age of 59, my Granny left this earth & it rocked the lives of all of us that love her. My thoughts often drift to her. I can't help it, she was my best friend. I know that the Lord knows best, but I wish she were still here. My Granny was a jokester, who never met a stranger. She was a hot pink lipstick wearing tomboy, who loved fiercely, but was a force to be reckoned with. I always post about her on this day & as it was approaching I had a dream about a page dedicated to her. This heart & words are what she had written in her Bible, along with this scripture. I felt like I was with her as I traced her handwriting to the paper. But I also realized that I do my "L's" just like her. Which made me smile through tears. I added the flowers, because on her last Sunday to be alive, we went & bought some, then spent the afternoon planting them. It was a beautiful Spring day & one that I cherish. She loved Spring. This page is for her. It's a tribute to the colorful crazy woman she was. I'm sure in Heaven she has a spectacular garden, complete with a claw foot bathtub full of strawberries. We miss you down here, Granny more than you can ever imagine! And our love has only grown stronger.
But I call to God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice. Psalm 55:16-17
