Things On My Heart

This is something that I have been wanting to post about, but I DO NOT want to start a debate. I ain't got time for that, so don't start none. The Syrian Refugee crisis has been hurting my heart so badly. I keep thinking, "Gosh, if I had the money, the housing, I would welcome some into my home." I've been interceding for these people who are fleeing for their lives. If I were running for safety for myself & my children, I would only pray that a country would welcome me with open arms. I can not even begin to imagine the terror they all must feel (regardless of their religion). Many that are finding a safe haven in other countries are converting to Christianity. Glory to God for that! As a Christian, I am called to love & bring hope. Not criticise & bash. Scripture says “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matt. 25:40. I know that the Lord is watching our response to this. And as Christians we are called to rise up & spread love, HIS love. Not to fear those that need Him. He alone can bring refuge, but He also uses us as His vessels to bring that forth. So please, think before you hit the "share" button, about how this is bringing terrorist into our country. I'm sure there are bad seeds in the lot, but these are also humans, with lives...They are children of the Most High...Just like you & I. They just weren't fortunate enough to be born into the USA. We are called for such a time as this. And if all I can do is pray, then by golly, pray I will!
