It's Good to Be Queen: Becoming as Bold, Gracious, and Wise as the Queen of Sheba ~Book Review

As an avid reader, I hate to admit that I have never read any of Liz Curtis Higgs books, even though I do know that she is a phenomenal author. When I was given the opportunity to read "It's Good to Be Queen: Becoming as Bold, Gracious, and Wise as the Queen of Sheba", I decided that this book would be my first one. I will be honest & say this is not the typical type of book that I would usually chose. But it captured my interest immediately. I loved how it delved into what Sheba's life may have actually looked like & not just how history or Hollywood may have painted her over the years. She was a woman who was truly seeking wisdom, rather than more authority as a Queen. She had a pure heart that seemed to long for more than earthly riches. And who else to gain this wisdom from than the wisest of men, King Solomon. Oh, what it must have been like to sit around the table full of all the glorious opulence of their day, as they talked with one another. That would have been an interesting conversation to eavesdrop on, huh?
I didn't do the study that is in the back of the book, but just writing this review makes me want to go back & do just that!
This is definitely a great book for personal reading, but also for a study with a group.
