Homemade Laundry Detergent *Revised Post*

I have been getting questions about homemade laundry detergent again, so since it was time for me to whip up a new batch, I thought I would make a "revised" post. I have also added 2 more ingredients to it. All of the products cost around $30 for everything & has lasted us almost a year & that is with doing an average of 8+ loads of laundry a week. Think about that...$30 for laundry detergent for almost a year! That is a lot of $ saved. It is also safe for high efficiency washers.

Homemade Laundry Detergent

1 large box of...
Baking soda
Washing soda
3 bars of Fels Naptha soap (grated with a cheese grater or food processor)
1 thing of Purex Crystals (I use 1 large one or 2 regular size. I like it to smell really good!)

***New additions***
You don't have to add these, the detergent is complete without them. But I found I have liked the detergent with these even more!
2 bars of ZOTE (pink or white. Do the same as with the Fels Naptha)
1 (3lb) container of Oxy Clean

Use 1/4 cup for each load detergent of laundry.
