This is National Suicide Prevention Week & one of my friends  has been brave & vulnerable enough to share his story. He is proof that you do not know what someone is dealing with on the inside. The happiest of people, can be hiding the darkest of struggles. Life feels hopeless at times. Everyone has a story. I dealt with consuming suicidal thoughts when I was a teen. I understand what it feels like to think of "just ending it all." But oh how sweet Jesus' love is for me. And for you. If those thoughts are creeping into your mind, if it's a constant battle, don't feel ashamed....Reach out. Find someone who will listen...Anyone. Don't walk it alone. Don't be afraid. Please take the time to read this blog post. It may just open your eyes to many things, including God's grace. It's not always a perfect path...It is more times than not...Messy. And to those who don't struggle with these thoughts, I guarantee you know someone who does, but you just may not know it. Be compassionate to people's pain. And remember...Don't judge someone because they sin differently than you do. Everyone's path in life is unique. Love on someone. Look at them with the Love of Jesus. Let His grace shine through you.
